Christmas in Denmark
Christmas is a very big holiday in Denmark with just about everyone celebrating it. It is my theory that Christmas is very important to Denmark because it is a bright spot in the middle of the cold, dark winter. It seems to be just as commercialized as in the U.S. but I am not totally certain that it is. Spending time with family is very important during this holiday.
1. Holiday decorations on Nørregade
2. Juletræet that sprays out of the top little synthetic snow flakes that are collected and circulated from the up turned umbrella on the bottom.
3. A sledding hill for children to slide down. No real snow though.
4-7. A Christmas display in a mall. Notice the ice fisherman and bakery.
